Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the production shop floor in Rockford, IL. This fully on-site role focuses on updating manufacturing procedures, routing products from assembly to shipment, and strengthening standard practices.

Ideal candidates will have a mechanical engineering background with related internship or co-op experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a team or independently. GD&T knowledge is a plus; US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline with up to 1 year internship or co-op experience preferred.
• Associate degree in engineering discipline with 3-5 years manufacturing experience or in lieu of a degree 6-8 years of manufacturing engineering experience
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment but can also be self-directed required
• US Citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Work with a cross functional team to provide support to production shop floor
• Investigate, incorporate and close out changes to manufacturing procedures
• Respond to floor requests and provide support (Andon System response)
• Complete updates to job instruction sheets
• Route products through shop floor from assembly to shipment with minimal direction
• Assist in the documentation of standard practices
• GD&T experience is a plus
