Job summary

Parker Hannifin in Irvine, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II - Mechanical to identify and implement lean improvements in manufacturing processes. You will review drawings and propose cost-saving changes while ensuring producibility and quality.

Responsibilities include tooling/fixturing design with SolidWorks, documentation of procedures, and collaboration with design engineers and suppliers to optimize methods and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering.
• 3–5 years of related experience and/or training.
• 1–3 years' experience applying lean techniques.
• Subject matter expert in one or more disciplines: Bonding/Epoxies; Thermal Cycling; Sensors/Control Systems; Machining/Fabrication Processes.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, develops and implements continuous improvement in manufacturing processes using lean techniques.
• Reviews technical drawings to suggest improvements to reduce cost, rework or scrap.
• Documents general manufacturing procedures and part-specific work instructions.
• Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs for management decisions.
