Job summary

Viant Medical’s Wheeling facility focuses on precision machining and assembly for medical devices. We seek a Manufacturing Engineer to drive continuous improvement of equipment and processes, including designing tests, validating changes, and solving production issues. Swiss/CNC machining and related tooling experience is essential.

The role is 100% onsite with competitive compensation. Salary ranges from $95,000 to $120,000, based on experience and location.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
5+ years in an engineering role within medical, aerospace, pharma, or military manufacturing.
Experience in machining environments (CNC, Swiss, lathes, grinders).

Responsibilities

Follow GMPs and Viant SOPs to ensure safe, compliant operations.
Provide technical support for manufacturing operations, troubleshooting issues.
Lead root cause investigations and implement CAPAs for quality improvements.
Develop and validate manufacturing processes, equipment, and methods to boost throughput.
Support engineering changes, new product introductions, and process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ).
Create and maintain manufacturing documentation including SOPs and control plans.
Drive Lean initiatives to reduce waste, lead time, and costs while improving space utilization.
Manage projects on process improvements, fixture design, and facility layout.
