Job summary
Viant Medical, a global medical device partner, seeks an NPI Engineering Manager to lead and develop the Engineering team focused on New Product Introduction, product industrialization, and process development at our Wheeling, IL site.
You will collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives while promoting Continuous Improvement and High-Performance Teams. Competitive compensation is offered.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of engineering experience in regulated manufacturing.
- 4+ years of people or project leadership.
- Experience leading NPI, product industrialization, and design transfer.
- Experience with metal-centric manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of FDA, ISO, OSHA quality systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead NPI activities from concept to production launch.
- Manage engineering resources, priorities, timelines, and budgets.
- Collaborate on DFM/DFA, technical reviews and design transfer.
- Develop manufacturing processes for metal-centric devices.
- Drive DOE, IQ/OQ/PQ, and validation activities.
- Lead cross-functional teams to launches with quality and cost targets.
- Develop manufacturing readiness plans for equipment and staffing.
