Viant Medical Inc. in Wheeling, IL seeks a Swiss Machinist to set up, operate and maintain CNC Swiss lathes for precision medical device components. You will read drawings, select tooling, and ensure parts meet specs and regulatory standards. The role supports continuous improvement and requires GMP/ISO 13485 compliance.

The position runs on a 2nd shift (2:00pm - 10:00pm) with competitive market pay and a focus on quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical degree, apprenticeship or vocational training preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss lathes.
• Experience in medical device, aerospace or regulated manufacturing is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss-style lathes to manufacture components.
• Read engineering drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Select tooling, fixtures, and machine accessories for production.
• Adjust offsets and edit programs to maintain accuracy.
• Perform first-piece, in-process and final inspections with precision tools.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Maintain GMP, ISO 13485 compliance and quality procedures.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
