Viant Medical Inc. in Wheeling, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to continuously improve manufacturing equipment and processes. You will design, test, and implement process improvements, support validations, and solve production issues related to efficiency, scrap, and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and relevant manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years engineering experience in manufacturing environments.
• Experience in Medical, Aerospace, Pharmaceuticals or Military manufacturing.
• New Product Introduction (NPI) experience.
• Machining knowledge: CNC, Swiss, lathes or grinders.
• Strong ISO13485 and GMP knowledge with problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow GMP practices and SOPs governing operations.
• Troubleshoot production, process, equipment, and quality issues.
• Lead root-cause investigations and CAPAs to improve quality and efficiency.
• Develop, validate, and maintain manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Support engineering changes and new product introductions.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and control plans.
• Drive Lean initiatives to reduce waste and costs while improving throughput.
• Manage engineering projects on process improvements and layouts.
• Collaborate with Quality, Operations, customers, and suppliers on audits and challenges.
