Job summary

Wabtec in Buffalo Grove, IL is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer II to drive innovation in Transit Bus & Rail systems while developing manufacturing methods and consulting with staff. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, Lean Manufacturing experience, and is proficient in Auto-CAD or ProE/SolidWorks.

This position involves collaboration, project management, and cost-conscious practices to enhance efficiency and quality while supporting a dynamic team environment. Relocation assistance may be provided for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or three to six years related experience.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, PFMEA.
• At least six months experience in Auto-CAD or ProE/SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve manufacturing methods.
• Estimate production times and related costs.
• Consult with management and staff about manufacturing capabilities.
• Train personnel and assist with tasks.
• Conduct DFMEA sessions to identify design risks.
