Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in Mount Holly, NC, seeks an experienced electrical maintenance technician to support plant electrical systems and drive continuous improvement. You will troubleshoot PLCs, perform electrical installations, and interpret schematics while applying NEC standards.

The role requires a strong attention to detail, safety discipline, and the ability to work second or third shift as needed to keep manufacturing lines running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years troubleshooting electrical controls and working with PLCs in an industrial facility.
• Safe use of meters and gauges.
• Safe and proper installation techniques for power systems wiring, including running conduit.
• Full working knowledge of the NEC and power distribution systems.
• High school diploma required; Associates degree preferred; Journeyman card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems for plant equipment and systems using PLC equipment.
• Calculate circuit sizes, wire and conduit per NEC.
• Provide electrical instruction from prints, sketches and verbally.
• Trace and sketch electrical circuit components and their wiring.
• Read wiring schematics, ladder diagrams and PLC programs.
• Input documentation for PLC programs and assist with related tasks.
