Job summary

Trane Technologies in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for 2nd shift to optimize welding processes and production workflows. You will resolve process and design issues, lead PFMEA activities, and develop safe, cost-effective manufacturing solutions.

The role requires experience in manufacturing, welding (MIG/TIG), and PFMEA, with strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills. On-site work with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency will define success.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• MIG/TIG welding experience preferred.
• PFMEA experience preferred.
• Ability to assess manufacturing issues related to process and design.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems, including investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.
• Be the subject matter expert in weld processes within the plant engineering group.
• Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools.
• Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls to optimize efficiency, costs, and quality.
• Uphold manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times.
• Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets specifications.
• Partner with on-site EHS to ensure equipment meets OSHA safety regulations.
