Job summary

RTX is seeking an Operations Engineer to support the Circuit Card Assembly Factory in Andover, MA. The role focuses on SMT process lines, automation, process improvement, and defect prevention. You will analyze data, implement Lean initiatives, and work with cross-functional teams to reduce cycle times and costs.

This onsite position on the 3rd shift offers a 12% shift differential and requires U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain DoD clearance; bachelor's degree and up to 2 years of relevant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Creating and overseeing projects using risk management techniques.
• Translating engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation.
• Computer and machine programming for manufacturing automation.
• Dispositioning of discrepant hardware.
• Leading root cause and corrective action investigations to solve problems and prevent recurrence.
• Participate in process improvement and cost reduction initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodology.
• Manufacturing process development and support.
• Conducting safety / ergonomic assessments.
• Interaction with senior personnel on technical matters and coordination between organizations/suppliers.
• Tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics and reductions in cost and/or defect.
