Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Milwaukie, OR is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer I to support and improve fabrication processes for Parker Meggitt/OECO products. You will work on the manufacturing floor delivering sustainable safety, quality, delivery and cost outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering solutions to improve Parker Meggitt/OECO products.
• Improve current production processes to manufacture products.
• Document processes, BOMs, and manufacturing routers.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing processes, non-conforming parts, fixtures, tooling and equipment.
• Design or procure improved fixtures, tooling, equipment.
• Promote continuous improvement and Kaizen leadership.
• Collect root-cause data and execute action plans.
• Interface with design engineering and marketing to support growth.
