Job summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation’s Parker Aerospace team in Milwaukie, OR is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to support and improve manufacturing capabilities for Mags and Sensors products. You will apply lean principles on the production floor to promote safety, quality, and delivery.

Collaborating with design and manufacturing teams, you will develop tooling and work instructions, solve process issues, and drive cost-effective manufacturability improvements across the value stream.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides significant expertise in developing engineering solutions to improve the manufacture of Parker Meggitt/OECO products.
  • Implements improvements to production processes to manufacture products.
  • Develops and maintains documentation, BOMs, and manufacturing routers.
  • Troubleshoots manufacturing processes, non-conforming parts, fixtures, tooling, and equipment.
  • Designs, builds, or procures improved fixtures, tooling, and equipment.
  • Applies lean principles to eliminate waste and promote continuous improvement.
  • Collects root-cause data and develops action plans addressing key performance drivers.
  • Interfaces with design engineering and marketing managers to enable market segment growth.
  • Works with cells and value-stream teams to identify opportunities and implement countermeasures.
  • Assists in design-to-production transfer and advises on manufacturability.
