Job summary

Textron Systems in Slidell, LA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I (Crewed Land) to join our entry-level team. You’ll collaborate with engineering to define producibility and build plans, and support tooling, processes and MBOM creation for new parts.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning, mentorship, and growth across functions, with opportunities to contribute from day one and develop expertise in SolidWorks, Delmia, and other CAD/PLM tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Hands-on knowledge of CAD/PLM tools (SolidWorks, Delmia, Tecnomatix) is a plus
• Ability to interact effectively with peers, supervisors, customers and management
• Strong planning, organization and multi-priority management
• Effective verbal and written communication; MS Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Engineering on tooling and build-plan methodology; analyzes manufacturability of components
• Develops manufacturing process plans and time standards for new parts/assemblies
• Creates MBOM and supports RCCA on production issues related to design, materials, tooling and processes
• Ensures compliance with regulations and maintains work instructions
