Job summary

Textron Systems in Slidell, LA is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Engineer I (Crewed Land). You will collaborate with Engineering to define producibility, tooling, and process plans for new parts and assemblies, supporting early career growth.

The role emphasizes mentorship, hands-on learning, and exposure across functions with growth opportunities. A mechanical engineering degree and familiarity with design tools are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on knowledge of SolidWorks, Delmia, Tecnomatix (preferred), Creo View and 3DVIA software is a plus.
• Ability to interact effectively with peers, supervisors, customers and management.
• Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• Effective verbal and written communications skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office with emphasis in MS Excel.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Engineering on desired production tooling and build-plan methodology.
• Analyses engineering design to determine manufacturability of components and assemblies.
• Develops process plans for shop floor methods and work instructions.
• Creates MBOM to break product structure into manufacturing sequence for MRPs and sourcing.
• Provides RCCA guidance on production issues related to design, materials, tooling and processes.
• Interprets engineering drawings, sequence, tooling functions and process specs.
