Job summary

Relativity Space, Inc. is seeking a Stage Manufacturing Engineer to help build Terran R's primary structures on-site in Long Beach. You will cover the shop floor, drive process improvements, and collaborate with engineers, manufacturing teams, and vendors to keep production moving.

With 2+ years in aerospace manufacturing and a solid grounding in GD&T, drilling, trim, and machining, you will create work instructions and provide DFM feedback throughout development and early flight builds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, aeronautical, mechanical engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2+ years progressive and related experience in aerospace manufacturing.
• Hands-on history of supporting complex assembly builds and making risk-based decisions to keep production moving.
• Strong collaboration with design, manufacturing, and reliability teams to improve manufacturability.
• Knowledge of drilling, trim, fastening, machining, and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Cover the shop floor for a primary structure assembly work center or multiple centers.
• Champion process improvements across work centers to accelerate Terran R build.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams and external vendors to drive progress.
• Create work instructions, specifications, and best practices for high-fidelity processes.
• Provide DFM feedback during development and prototype builds.
