Job summary

Siemens Energy’s Gas Services division in Charlotte seeks a seasoned manufacturing engineer to optimize CNC and process systems, lead vendor coordination, and improve equipment uptime.

You’ll work with maintenance supervisors to reduce risk, design proactive maintenance, and mentor peers. Domestic and international travel ~10% is expected. Requires 10+ years in manufacturing and a mechanical/electrical engineering degree.

Qualifications

• AAS or BS in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (or related) or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in manufacturing with advanced experience on CNC equipment, PLCs, and process systems.
• Strong root cause analysis capability; AutoCAD or Siemens NX experience is a plus.
• Professional English proficiency; excellent interpersonal skills and confidence presenting to all audiences.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 10%).

Responsibilities

• Lead systems-integration projects with external vendors.
• Apply lifecycle cost thinking to repair, replacement, or upgrade decisions that maximize value and availability.
• Design and implement proactive maintenance programs for critical assets.
• Collaborate daily with managers and internal customers; prepare precise specifications and purchase requisitions for needed components.
• Expand and manage vendor partnerships for projects and facility services.
• Coach peers on new methods and provide occasional off-shift/call-in support when needed.
