Our Client in the Greater Kalamazoo area is seeking an experienced manufacturing engineer who thrives on hands-on problem solving to own the full shop floor—from manufacturability reviews to final assembly line layout and optimization.

You will balance lean processes, apply GD&T, work with SolidWorks for layout, and lead cross-functional teams to drive product quality and operational safety across high-mix, low-volume production.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineer capable of solving complex production puzzles.
• Owns shop floor processes from design to assembly.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end lifecycle of high-mix, low-volume production.
• Model layouts in CAD and optimize CAD-to-fabrication flow.
• Lead cross-functional teams to improve product quality and safety.
• Apply root-cause analysis to eliminate waste and improve throughput.
