Job summary

VJ X-Ray LLC seeks a Manufacturing Engineer in Bohemia, NY, to drive ECN processes, maintain BOMs, and support product data throughout the lifecycle. You will read 2D/3D CAD files (SolidWorks preferred), ensure ERP data accuracy, and develop SOPs and assembly guidelines to optimize manufacturing workflows.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations and quality, with a focus on documentation, data integrity, and safety in a complex manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 1 year in an advanced technology manufacturing environment supporting Production and Engineering.
• Experience with ECN processes from creation to approval and cross-site implementation.
• Ability to create, structure, and maintain Bills of Materials across product lifecycles.
• Ability to read 2D and 3D CAD design specs and communicate through drawings.
• Maintain accurate part numbers, revisions, and source information in ERP.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions, SOPs, and assembly guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage ECN processes: creation, review, approval, and multi-site rollout.
• Create, structure, and maintain Bills of Materials across lifecycles.
• Read and interpret 2D/3D CAD drawings and specifications (SolidWorks preferred).
• Ensure data accuracy and alignment with design requirements in ERP.
• Develop, update, and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and routing docs.
• Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, quality and production teams to resolve issues.
• Identify opportunities to streamline documentation and data workflows.
• Uphold safety procedures in a large, complex manufacturing environment.
