Job summary

AGI – Ag Growth International in Lenexa, KS is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to join the Product Design team. You will review designs for manufacturability, help establish engineering and manufacturing guidelines, and translate shop-floor feedback into actionable improvements that enhance quality and productivity.

The role focuses on design-to-manufacturing alignment, with opportunities to apply smart manufacturing concepts, data analysis, dashboards, and AI-enabled productivity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering, mechatronics, automation, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant product design or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience with design-for-manufacturing and process improvement.
• Familiarity with CAD tools; knowledge of PDM/PLM, ERP or MES is a plus.
• Ability to analyze data and use Excel/Power BI is desirable.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate across design, manufacturing, quality and supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Review product designs for manufacturability and assembly efficiency.
• Develop and maintain design standards and manufacturing guidelines.
• Bridge design intent with shop-floor capabilities and constraints.
• Evaluate fabrication, welding, assembly, and material flow processes.
• Support CAD modeling, product data, and documentation updates.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities to use smart manufacturing and AI-enabled tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering and business needs.
