Job summary

Aebi Schmidt Group in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize manufacturing and troubleshoot production problems, plan and design plant layouts to coordinate equipment and material for efficient production. Responsibilities include time studies, project planning and budget management to drive improvements in cost, quality, safety, lead time and working capital.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with working a low volume/high variation manufacturing operation.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, manage, and maintain budgets.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work and stay on task.
• Innovative team player with strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate tools and equipment process options to reduce cost in the operation.
• Seek approval for investments in machinery and equipment that will improve manufacturing/assembly operations.
• Produce engineering drawings for and design fixturing/tooling.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and visual controls to improve processes.
• Provide manufacturing technical support for production operations, including tooling and process troubleshooting.
• Monitor and correct safety/ergonomic issues and support continuous improvement events.
