Job summary

AGI - Ag Growth International, a global food-based infrastructure company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Marshall, IL. The role leads manufacturing engineering and quality management system initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and cost control while aligning Engineering, Production and Quality functions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred.
• 2+ years of quality assurance or quality systems experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality, Welding, or related field preferred.
• LEAN Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
• Experience in metal fabrication and mechanical equipment manufacturing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, blueprints, welding standards (AWS/CWB), and quality control systems.
• Experience with BOMs, routings, and standard cost environments.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D design software (Inventor preferred).
• Strong project management capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing engineering & process improvement initiatives.
• Review production, interpret blueprints and reports.
• Analyze processes and implement workflow improvements for efficiency and safety.
• Design and develop manufacturing aids, jigs, fixtures, and process improvements.
• Coordinate engineering changes and communicate to production teams.
• Conduct production performance analyses and address bottlenecks.
• Investigate issues and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in design reviews for manufacturability.
• Implement standardized assembly instructions and procedures.
• Manage projects related to process improvements and engineering changes.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the company QMS.
• Oversee quality documentation and CAR system.
• Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews.
• Lead quality performance reviews and report to leadership.
• Collaborate with Purchasing on vendor quality and accreditation.
