Job summary

Actalent, Peoria, IL, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to lead cost-innovation projects across fabrication, assembly and warehouse operations. You will optimize process flows, tooling, and routings, while ensuring safety, quality and delivery.

The role requires hands-on CNC, CAD/CAM, GD&T and Six Sigma experience in a regulated manufacturing setting. The position is onsite in Peoria, IL, with a focus on continuous improvement, cross-functional teamwork, and delivering cost-saving engineering

Qualifications

BS degree in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
1–3 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding and process improvement.
Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and project management software.
3D CAD/AutoCAD experience and GD&T knowledge required.
Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma and line balancing.

Responsibilities

Lead manufacturing engineering projects with emphasis on safety, cost reduction and efficiency.
Analyze process flows from fabrication through shipping and optimize layouts.
Recommend tooling, fixtures and CNC equipment to support new models and spare parts.
Develop routings, work instructions and standard times; manage ECNs in production.
Program CNC machines and develop manufacturing processes for fabrication, welding and assembly.
Set up MRP-driven warehouse and production planning; balance sub-assembly and line stations.
