Job summary

AWC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design and optimize processes for Controls and Power Assembly, working hands-on on-site at the Houston Power Center in Deer Park, TX. The role emphasizes DFMA input, process standardization, and continuous improvement across manufacturing lines.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in manufacturing/industrial engineering, experience with electrical assembly, and strong Lean/continuous improvement skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering field required.
• 3+ years manufacturing/industrial/process engineering experience preferred.
• Experience in electrical assembly and control panel manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and problem-solving methodologies essential.
• Able to work hands-on on the manufacturing floor on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, improve, document, and sustain manufacturing processes for Controls and Power Assembly products.
• Translate designs into manufacturable processes and work instructions.
• Lead Lean initiatives, time studies, and standard work.
• Support new product introductions and manufacturing readiness.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production to resolve issues.
