Job summary

AWC, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Controls & Power Assembly to design, improve, document, and sustain manufacturing processes for its Controls and Power Assembly products.

This hands-on role collaborates with production to convert designs into safe, efficient, repeatable, scalable processes on site at the Houston Power Center in Deer Park, TX. You’ll lead process design, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives, applying Lean methods, DFMA input, and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• 3+ years of manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, process engineering, or similar experience preferred.
• Experience in electrical assembly, control panel manufacturing, switchgear, low voltage motor control center assembly, engineered‑to‑order manufacturing, industrial equipment, or related environment is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, standard work, process mapping, time studies, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, bills of material, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize manufacturing methods, workflows, layouts, tooling, and production processes for Controls and Power Assembly products.
• Translate designs into effective manufacturing processes and work instructions.
• Define production sequences, methods, tooling, equipment, and quality checkpoints.
• Support new product introductions and ensure manufacturing readiness.
• Participate in design reviews and provide DFMA input.
• Identify manufacturing risks and resolve cross-functionally.
