Job summary

The ideal candidate has a mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering background, with 3+ years in manufacturing and hands-on production equipment experience, plus proficiency in CAD/SolidWorks and MRP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering Technology from an accredited university.
• Experience improving fabrication and assembly of mechanical and electrical systems.
• 3+ years manufacturing experience with 2+ years on production equipment and maintenance (preferred).
• Experience implementing Lean thinking and tools.
• Experience designing and applying precision production tooling.
• Experience creating and maintaining production routers and work instructions.
• Strong project management skills for problem-solving and project execution.
• Proficiency in CAD; SolidWorks preferred.
• Proficiency with MRP systems such as JDE or Oracle preferred.
• Ability to travel domestically to NOV offices and customer locations.
• Commitment to safety regulations and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead process development and improvement to ensure SQDC performance.
• Collaborate with area leadership to define, stabilize, and improve processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis, experimentation, and mitigations for process issues.
• Apply Lean thinking to reduce waste and enhance value flow in the shop.
• Provide second responder support to resolve complex technical process challenges.
• Evaluate innovative manufacturing process technologies and manage their implementation.
• Work with product engineering to enhance manufacturability.
• Design and implement processes for new product introductions, including tooling and instructions.
• Ensure timely execution of new process qualification plans.
• Support customer-facing issues and safety concerns.
