Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in CNC machining and CNC programming.
  • Hands-on experience with CAM software such as Mastercam.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and fixture design.
  • Experience preparing quotations, cost analysis, or production planning activities.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience within precision manufacturing environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimise CNC machining programs using CAM software.
  • Create and modify 3D models, tooling concepts, and fixture designs.
  • Verify machining programmes through simulation and validation tools.
  • Lead quotation activities, including RFQ review, costing, and proposal preparation.
  • Analyse manufacturing costs and support competitive pricing strategies.
  • Track quotation outcomes and identify trends to improve win rates.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct workflow studies, process analysis, and efficiency improvement projects.
  • Support production teams with technical troubleshooting and manufacturing solutions.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with workplace standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to deliver customer requirements.
