Job summary

MPI is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for a top CNC contract manufacturer. You will join the New Product Introduction team, review customer designs, perform DFMA and quoting, and apply your CNC machining expertise to create and optimize manufacturing processes.

The client serves military, defense, aerospace, medical and commercial markets and is expanding into aerospace and medical product lines. Strong GD&T, LEAN/Six Sigma, APQP/PPAP familiarity, and CAD/CAM tools such as SolidWorks,

Qualifications

  • CNC milling and turning experience is required.
  • GD&T experience is required.
  • 5–10+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Regulated industry experience (A&D, automotive, medical) preferred.
  • Experience with NPI, DFMA, quoting is desirable.
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience is valued.
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus.
  • SolidWorks/ CAD CAM tools experience (Esprit, MasterCAM) preferred.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Work within the New Product Introduction Team.
  • Receive customer designs, perform DFMA and quoting.
  • Utilize CNC machining background to create and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Drive continuous improvements using Lean manufacturing and 5S techniques.
  • Create BOMs, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with customers and cross-functionally with production and quality.

Top contract manufacturer seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join its growth-focused team, with plans to triple revenue over the next 5-10 years. Serving the military, defense, commercial, medical, and aerospace markets, you'll support New Product Introduction under a highly regarded manager. Leveraging your CNC machining expertise, you'll optimize manufacturing processes based on customer designs.

The company serves the military, defense, aerospace, medical, and commercial markets and is rapidly expanding beyond its established firearm components business into a growing portfolio of aerospace and medical products.

Description
  • Work within the New Product Introduction Team
  • Receive Customer Designs, perform DFMA and Quoting
  • Utilize your background in CNC Machining to create and optimize Manufacturing Process
  • Drive continuous improvements, utilize LEAN Manufacturing / 5S Techniques
  • Create Relevant Engineering Documentation (BOMs, SOPs, Work Instructions)
  • Work with Customers and cross functionally with Production and Quality
Profile
  • CNC Experience Required (Milling, Turning)
  • GD&T Experience Required
  • Degree Highly Preferred, Not Required
  • 5 - 10+ Years of Relevant Manufacturing Experience
  • Regulated Industry Experience Preferred (Automotive, Aerospace, Device, Defense)
  • Six Sigma / LEAN Manufacturing Experience
  • Experience with New Product Development and Introduction, DFMA
  • Quoting, Costing, Customer Facing experience preferred
  • APQP, PPAP, Validations Experience preferred
  • Structured Problem Solving Experience (A3, PDCA, 8D, DMAIC)
  • Bilingual a Plus (Spanish Fluency)
  • SolidWorks and CAD / CAM Software Experience (Esprit, MasterCAM)
  • Demonstrated communication skills required
Job Offer
  • Base Salary of $90,000 to $110,000 based on experience
