Job summary

Valmont Industries is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer who will own capital and expense projects, analyze cost reduction opportunities, and provide engineering support for new product introductions. You will work with manufacturing teams to improve safety, quality, and cycle times while developing costed proposals and tooling designs.

You will lead cross-functional projects, communicate with management, and occasionally travel up to 5% domestically to support plants and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with relevant experience or equivalent combined with manufacturing engineering exposure.
• Experience in welding, gas/plasma cutting, press working, machining, and ERW tube manufacturing.
• Project management experience and ability to lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering solutions to resolve manufacturing problems such as safety, capacity, quality, and cost.
• Develop short and long term capital budgets; justify and document funding requests.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams; manage multiple projects to on-time completion.
