Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Valley, Nebraska is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead division engineering functions, manage capital and expense projects, and drive cost reductions while supporting new product development.

The role requires collaboration with operations, safety and vendors to optimize processes, tooling and layouts. The position emphasizes project management, CAD proficiency, and strong communication, with occasional domestic travel and a focus on achieving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field with relevant experience
• Strong problem-solving skills in fabrication and welding environments
• Experience as a project manager and/or team leader
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
• 2+ years driving solutions with all levels of the business
• Solid 3D CAD skills with design applications
• Understanding of QA requirements and fabrication processes
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Project and Access
• Willingness to travel up to 5%
• Good performance and attendance history

Responsibilities

• Drive and manage engineering solutions to resolve manufacturing problems
• Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, supervisors and managers
• Present funding requests and justify project proposals
• Utilize CAD for equipment, tooling and layouts
• Lead projects from conception to completion with proper documentation
• Support safety initiatives and cost-reduction opportunities
• Prepare cost estimates and coordinate with vendors and internal teams
