Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Palatka, FL seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to lead asset strategies and operator care for the Bleach Plant. You will provide technical support across maintenance, reliability, and safety, coordinating with the Reliability Coordinator and capital project teams to improve productivity and quality.

Beneficial candidates will have SAP experience in manufacturing, a strong focus on safety, cost optimization, and the ability to drive standardization across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience leading asset strategies and operator care in manufacturing environments.
• Strong technical background in process improvement, reliability, and maintenance coordination.
• Ability to share knowledge with technicians, leaders, and environmental/safety teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of asset strategies and operator basic care across the Bleach Plant area.
• Provide technical expertise to Master & Process technicians, Shift Capability Leaders, and Reliability Coordinator.
• Drive safety, asset reliability, cost optimization, and productivity improvements.
• Identify, investigate, and implement equipment improvements and process changes to boost yield and quality.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Project Management on capital projects.
• Address knowledge and performance gaps in operation areas with shift teams.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and standardization efforts across the area.
• Participate in financial planning for area expenditures.
• Collaborate with Environmental team on current and future state challenges.
• Lead Process Safety Management initiatives for the area.
