Job summary
Georgia-Pacific's Consumer Products division in Palatka, FL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support Paper Machine operations. You will drive reliability, work processes, equipment performance, and team capability within Retail Paper Operations, reporting to Production Leaders.
The role requires leading EHS initiatives, optimizing assets, reducing waste, managing capital projects, and collaborating across teams to deliver safe, efficient production and cost improvements at the Palatka
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 4+ years of manufacturing/industrial ops experience.
- Experience troubleshooting and improving manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Experience with equipment setup, operation, or repair.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project).
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in Environmental, Health, and Safety.
- Coach Asset Operators to safely achieve production targets.
- Lead improvements in equipment, materials, and processes for quality.
- Lead waste reduction initiatives to reduce all forms of waste.
- Manage asset costs, capital and compliance projects.
- Execute financial spend forecast to meet or exceed plan.
