Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking qualified professionals for a Manufacturing Engineer - Bleach Plant at our Palatka, Florida facility. The role sits in the Pulp, Power, and Recovery department and reports to the Product Stream Leader.

We value leadership in asset reliability, safety, and continuous improvement to support production of tissue, paper towels, and related products. The Palatka mill operates multiple machines and supports a broad tissue portfolio.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience leading a paper/fiber manufacturing process.
• Detailed experience managing projects.
• Experience supporting process improvement, reliability, continuous improvement, and/or operational performance.
• Experience managing, leading, or executing projects in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of asset strategies and operator basic care with operators and technicians.
• Provide technical expertise to Master & Process technicians, Shift Capability Leaders, and others.
• Provide leadership in safety, asset reliability, cost optimization, quality capability, productivity, and capital planning.
• Identify and implement equipment improvements, new systems, and process changes to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Engage with capital projects and Environmental team on future state challenges.
• Work with shift leaders to address knowledge and performance gaps in their areas.
• Drive Process Safety Management for the area.
