Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the Bleach Plant at our Palatka, Florida facility. This role sits in the Pulp, Power, and Recovery department and reports to the Product Stream Leader, with leadership over safe, environmentally compliant operation of the Bleach Plant and related systems.

You will provide technical support and coordinate with reliability and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability, effective spending, and continuous improvement across safety,

Qualifications

• Experience leading safety and reliability programs in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of asset management and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of asset strategies and operator basic care.
• Provide technical expertise to technicians, shift capability leaders, and reliability staff.
• Drive safety, asset reliability, cost optimization, quality capability, productivity, and capital planning/execution.
• Identify equipment improvements, new systems, and process changes to improve productivity and reduce costs/safety risks.
• Engage with Engineering and Project Management on capital improvement projects.
• Address knowledge and performance gaps with Shift Leaders and operators.
• Lead reliability initiatives and standardization across the area.
• Collaborate on financial planning for the area.
• Coordinate with Environmental team on current and future challenges.
• Lead Process Safety Management program for the area.
