Job summary
Jostens is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement on the production floor of our printing facility. You will provide guidance on equipment evaluation, installation, maintenance, and automation projects, partnering with maintenance and cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate has a BS in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years in manufacturing, strong CAD skills (AutoCAD/SolidWorks), and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Lean
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of engineering experience in manufacturing.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Strong mechanical and electrical engineering fundamentals.
- Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Lean Manufacturing training/experience.
- Printing experience preferred (Commercial/Yearbook).
Responsibilities
- Support plant infrastructure, equipment, and automation projects.
- Collaborate with maintenance to plan equipment upgrades and repairs.
- Conduct PFMEA, SPC, and time-and-motion studies to improve processes.
- Assist with budgeting and cost-control for capital projects.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts using Lean methodologies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive QCDS initiatives.
- Support safety initiatives and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in space planning and risk prevention activities.
