Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Pooler, GA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for advanced coating and blending to lead development, optimization, and automation of thermal spray coating processes supporting gas turbine component manufacturing.

The role requires technical leadership across coating processes, qualification activities, and implementation of automated, data-driven manufacturing solutions to improve yield, quality, and throughput.

Qualifications

10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in advanced welding, joining, laser processing, and automated manufacturing operations.
Experience leading process development, automation initiatives, and capital equipment implementation.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and communicate with teams and leadership.
Proficiency with robotics, lasers, CAD/CAM, and manufacturing data systems.

Responsibilities

Lead development, implementation, optimization, and sustainment of thermal spray coating processes (robotic grit blasting, HVOF bond coat, APS ceramic coating).
Serve as technical SME for coating process capability, blending, restoration, and equipment qualification.
Develop and deploy manufacturing standards, procedures, and qualification requirements for consistent quality.
Own coating programs, data systems, and change control to ensure traceability and compliance.
Analyze performance to improve quality, yield, throughput, and automation.
