Mission
Responsible for standard product maintenance through continuous improvement on quality, cost and standardization of Quality Air products. Responsible for documenting and developing the flow for the entire production system process, including inbound logistics, defining manpower needs, and maintaining labor costs to maximize utilization on the assembly lines. Additionally, improve the efficiency of existing production lines and adapt to actual capacity requirements by observing the production.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Work closely with Sourcing, Production, Quality, Marketing, Aftermarket departments, and other internal Atlas Copco teams to deliver PCM projects on time and per the Master Specification.
- Ensure efficient execution of project team meetings by conducting routine design reviews for design accuracy and competency.
- Collaborate with Project Engineering to create work instructions and documents in compliance with Atlas Copco product design for standard Quality Air Products & Low pressure blowers and air compressor products.
- Ensure Bill of Materials and specifications comply with Atlas Copco's production process and quality control standards.
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes, quality, and procedures to reduce costs and enhance productivity using lean manufacturing methods such as JIT and Kanban.
- Measure and optimize assembly time, analyze processing stages, and balance workloads across departments.
- Work with the Operations Manager to set growth targets, monitor performance, and take corrective actions to meet plans.
- Coordinate between engineering, purchasing, quality, and production to keep operations smooth and minimize downtime.
- Implement digitalization initiatives to enhance operational efficiency through IT technology and infrastructure.
- Design layouts for production lines and improve tools used in production.
- Define and verify compliance with assembly work phases to ensure production efficiency.
- Provide detailed work instructions for assembly processes and specifications.
- Document process inconsistencies or risks for corrective action.
- Oversee the integration of new machinery into manufacturing or logistics processes.
- Apply OSHA safety standards and SafeStart safety training to promote a safe working environment.
- Follow Atlas Copco's "Safety First" policy aiming for zero work-related accidents and employ sustainable practices to meet Quality, Environment, Safety, and Energy/Resource Efficiency targets.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience: Two to five years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge: Understanding of JIT, Kanban, logistics, design layout, electrical design, drawings, and Elektronik programming.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Skills: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and engineering design skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
