GE Aerospace in the United States seeks an engineering professional to support forming, welding, brazing, heat treat, and machining in jet engine component production. You’ll collaborate with operators, quality, and senior engineers to keep parts flowing and defects from escaping.
This role emphasizes process control, documentation, GD&T interpretation, and lean improvement, with responsibilities spanning blueprints, setup verification, and issue resolution on the shop floor.
In this role you will support the manufacturing processes that turn formed sheet metal into flight-critical hardware: forming, resistance and TIG welding, brazing, heat treat, and machining. You’ll work directly with operators, quality, and senior engineers on the shop floor to keep parts flowing, solve process problems, and prevent defects from escaping. You’ll follow standard work and established procedures, but you can reorder your priorities as production needs change. Your work directly affects product quality, delivery, and the success of the team around you.
Plant 2 makes sheet metal fabricated parts for jet engines. Its main product line is combustors, and it also builds fuel nozzles and parts.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years Manufacturing/Production experience)
The base pay range for this position is $92,000-$110,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
