MPG Dover is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer onsite in Salisbury, MD. The role plans, directs and coordinates manufacturing processes, applying DFMA concepts and Lean techniques to improve quality, throughput and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required with five years of related experience or 10+ years of progressive manufacturing experience.
• Ability to apply and facilitate Lean principles utilizing VSM, LSW and A3 facilitation.
• Proficiency with Windows-based software tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; cross-functional collaboration.
• Good understanding of complex process methodologies for parts/assemblies; ERP exposure.

Works with design engineering for introduction of new products to production.* Analyses and plans work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.* Confers with vendors to determine product specification and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials or parts.* Estimates production times, staffing requirements and related costs.
