Jobot seeks a Manufacturing Engineer in Johnson City, TN to design manufacturing processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams on advanced equipment development.

Required: BS in Engineering, 2+ years manufacturing, 1+ years CNC machining/programming and tool selection. On-site position with full benefits at Jobot.

Responsibilities

• Design manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with small teams on in-house development of novel and complex manufacturing equipment.
• Specification development for manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborate with external equipment suppliers on equipment design.
• Manage external equipment suppliers from development through buyoff.
• Validate and characterize new equipment and fixtures for production floor introduction.
• Partner with maintenance for root cause analysis and downtime mitigation.
• Fixturing and tooling design using CATIA or SolidWorks.
• Experience with CNC machining on vertical mills and lathes.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Design of manufacturing processes.
• Collaboration with small teams on in-house development of novel and complex manufacturing equipment.
• Specification development for manufacturing equipment.
• Close collaboration with external equipment suppliers on equipment design.
• Management of external equipment suppliers from equipment development through buyoff.
• Validation and characterization of new equipment and fixtures for introduction to the production floor.
• Partner with maintenance in root cause analysis of down equipment. Develop and implement changes to mitigate repetitive downtime.
• Fixturing and tooling design experience in CATIA or Solidworks
• Experience in CNC metal machining processes using CNC vertical machining centers and CNC lathes

Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing environment
• 1+ years in CNC machining, programming and cutting tool selection
• Experience with the selection of machining equipment
