Job summary

World Class Manufacturing Company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, improve, and support precision-machined components from new product introduction through production. You will drive efficiency, cost reduction, and quality by collaborating with engineering, production, and maintenance teams.

The role focuses on process optimization, tooling design, and process validation, with emphasis on Lean and Six Sigma methods to achieve sustained improvements across manufacturing lines.

Qualifications

  • Experience developing and optimizing manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC.
  • Experience using CAD/CAM software for tooling and process validation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production methods.
  • Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and process improvements.
  • Support CNC machining operations including process validation and troubleshooting.
  • Analyze production data to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation including routings, BOMs, and process sheets.
  • Support new product launches from prototype through full production.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality and production issues.
  • Evaluate equipment capabilities and recommend capital improvements as needed.
  • Ensure familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, ESPRIT, VERICUT
  • Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Validation, and SPC.

Requirements

The Manufacturing Engineer develops, improves, and supports manufacturing processes for precision-machined components from new product introduction through production. This role works cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality, and maintenance to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure quality.
