Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Greensboro, NC to design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and equipment. You will lead lean and Six Sigma initiatives to cut waste, improve quality, and reduce downtime while collaborating with design and production teams to meet product specifications.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of engineering experience, with CAD proficiency and a focus on safety and continuous

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Proven experience with lean manufacturing, six sigma, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control techniques.
  • Familiarity with automation and automation implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and other engineering tools.
  • Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance with all applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, implementing, and refining manufacturing processes and equipment for optimal efficiency and output.
  • Utilizing lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies to streamline production processes and reduce waste.
  • Working closely with the production team to ensure smooth operations and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Conducting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality, reduce downtime, and minimize manufacturing costs.
  • Implementing metal fabrication processes and techniques to meet production requirements.
  • Collaborating with the design team to understand product specifications and develop manufacturing plans accordingly.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Training staff on new and existing manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Evaluating and improving workflows and assembly methods.
  • Preparing and presenting technical reports to stakeholders and management.

  • 4. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control techniques.
  • 5. Familiarity with automation and automation implementation.
  • 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • 7. Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • 8. Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools.
  • 9. Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
  • 10. A strong commitment to safety and compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
