Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a leading aerospace manufacturer in Parsippany, NJ. You will plan, develop, and implement production methods and cell setups for all products including overhaul and repair, and contribute to manufacturability and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in engineering with 2–5 years in manufacturing engineering, CAD experience (Creo) with GD&T, and knowledge of Lean manufacturing.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering with 2–5 years in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Familiarity with CAD software, including Creo or equivalent platforms, and GD&T drawing standards.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to instruct technicians, machinists, suppliers, customers, and other personnel.

Responsibilities

• Reviews designs and processes for continuous improvement opportunities & manufacturability.

Duties:

Required Qualifications:

• 1. Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering with 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role. Candidates with 0 years of experience must have relevant internships, co-ops, and coursework in aerospace manufacturing or an equivalent industry.
• 2. Familiarity with CAD software, including Creo or equivalent platforms, as well as GD&T drawing standards.
• 3. Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
• 4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands‑on manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities.
• 5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with and provide technical instruction to technicians, machinists, suppliers, customers, and other personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1. Knowledge of machining processes, material properties, and manufacturing methods as they relate to the production of component parts.
• 2. Familiarity with electronics, electrical circuits, electric motors, hydraulic motors, servo valves, and hydraulic test equipment.
• 3. Experience working with aircraft, aerospace, and/or military equipment.
• 4. Understanding of aerospace industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality expectations.
• 5. Familiarity with AS9100 Quality Management Systems, including quality auditing practices.
• 6. Experience with FAA and/or EASA certification requirements is highly desirable.
