Turbotec, a Mueller Industries company, is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for its Newton, NC plant. This on-site role supports plant operations and production efficiency, working across manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering functions with hands-on leadership responsibilities.

The role emphasizes improving processes, tooling, and materials, while assisting with prototype development and ensuring quality across product lines. HVAC/heat exchanger knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering (or related) or equivalent experience (1–3+ years).
• Experience in manufacturing processes and fabrication; tooling and process improvement; industrial maintenance or engineering support.
• Knowledge of HVAC / heat exchanger systems (preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and manufacturing technician teams.
• Support production and troubleshoot shop floor issues.
• Drive process improvements and cost reduction projects.
• Develop new manufacturing methods, tooling, and materials.
• Assist with prototype development for new or modified products.
• Ensure quality and efficiency across product lines.
• Provide technical support for heat exchangers and tubing systems.

Turbotec produces a diverse range of high-performance heat exchangers for virtually any space conditioning or refrigeration application for the geothermal, water heating, solar, heat recovery, and heat pump markets. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will assist in many areas of the plant and production.
