Job summary

Turbotec Products, Inc, a Mueller Industries company in Newton, NC, is hiring a Maintenance Technician to support lean and continuous improvement initiatives. You will install and inspect machinery, perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, and ensure production equipment meets quality standards.

Requires 3–5 years in industrial maintenance, blueprint reading, and ability to lift 50–75 lbs. 1st shift with overtime as needed; climate controlled plant and a benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3–5 years of industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50–75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with lean/continuous improvement projects.
• Install and inspect machinery on the manufacturing floor.
• Install and inspect electrical equipment on the manufacturing floor.
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery to minimize downtime.
• Perform brazing, welding and basic fabrication tasks.
• Inspect in-process and finished products for quality compliance.
• Use standard tools to perform preventative maintenance on production machinery.
• Ensure machinery operates to meet specifications.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities and Job Expectations:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with lean/continuous improvement projects.


• Install and inspect machinery on the manufacturing floor.


• Install and inspect electrical equipment on the manufacturing floor.

Maintenance Technician Requirements:

• 3-5 years' experience in industrial/manufacturing maintenance preferred


• Knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, pneumatics, and hydraulics.


• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.


• Ability to stand for long periods of time.


• Ability to lift to 50-75 lbs.
