What You'll Do
- Own production processes in the assigned production building(s).
- Troubleshoot equipment downtime, resolve issues, and/or identify support required.
- Leverage quality data to create and execute action plans to maximize yield and minimize scrap.
- Monitor tool data to identify trends; create and execute action plans to maximize yield and minimize scrap.
- Identify and support process improvements projects to improve quality, yield, and costs.
- Work with new product development teams to transfer equipment and processes into production.
- Train in new production processes and documentation.
- Develop training and troubleshooting guides.
- Document and execute engineering change processes via related quality procedures.
- Support operational communication between shifts.
- Available as necessary by phone and/or person to support off-shift production troubleshooting.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Years of experience in a similar manufacturing role will be considered as an equivalent.
- CNC & Special Equipment machine controller navigation and knowledge. Formal and/or on the job training will be provided for each specific machine controller.
- Statistical analysis and data analysis for part inspection data, production yields, scrap data, tool life data, etc. Formal and/or on the job training may be provided for statistical software.
- Experience with creating/writing technical documents.
- Problem-solving ability with strong critical thinking, and high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to collaborate and coordinate effectively across multiple functions.
