Job summary

Norwood Medical in Dayton, OH, is seeking a CNC operator to contribute to precision medical device manufacturing that helps surgeons perform procedures and save lives. You will load materials, cycle start CNC machines, and monitor programs, while maintaining a clean, safe, and collaborative work area.

• Perform work as assigned by Group Leader.
• Load raw material into a CNC fixture using pneumatic air guns or torque wrenches.
• Cycle start the CNC machine to execute the program.
• Detect and report defective material or questionable conditions to a Group Leader.
• Work as a team member and communicate work related issues as needed.
• Perform typical machine shop operations.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Comply with safety regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Perform work as assigned by Group Leader.
• Load raw material into a CNC fixture utilizing pneumatic air guns and/or torque wrenches.
• Cycle start the CNC machine to execute the selected program.
• Detect and report defective material or questionable conditions to a Group Leader.
• Work as a team member and communicate work related issues as needed.
• Perform typical machine shop operations.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Comply with safety regulations and procedures.

Skills

• Able to work under moderate supervision while following established methods and procedures to perform operations required for successful manufacturing operations.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand, sit, or move about the facility.

• Experience: Demonstrated longevity of at least eight consecutive months in previous employment. Top Candidates will have: working experience on CNC machines.
