Job description

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Location: Cypress, CA
Job Contract: 12 Months on W2

As an Industrial Engineer for *****, you’ll work to provide the production standards and inputs necessary to support planning and improvement as part of the Manufacturing Engineering Team at our **** High Temperature Composites Facility. You’ll support the Operations businesses by observing, collecting, and analyzing production processes, equipment, and resources in addition to supporting the Manufacturing Engineering community in capacity acquisition and continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Maintaining Production Standard Times for manufactured components and assemblies within the facilities
  2. Developing tools and models to calculate and determine takt times, production standards, changeover recommendations, batch sizes, and associated metrics to help support delivery schedules
  3. Assessing, supporting, and improving workstation design and layout to positively impact ergonomics, material flow, and productivity
  4. Supporting the Manufacturing Engineering community by providing productivity assessments of proposed capability acquisitions

Basic:
  1. An Associate's degree with 3+ years of experience in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations OR
  2. A Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years of experience in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations OR
  3. A Master's degree with 0+ years of experience in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations OR
  4. A JD/PhD with 0+ years of experience in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations OR
  5. Instead of a degree, 5+ years of experience in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations

To be considered for this opportunity, you must be a U.S. citizen or a Permanent Resident.


Preferred:
  1. Industrial Engineering background with experience and understanding in work measurement methods and/or predetermined time standards systems such as MTM and MOST
  2. Experience with ERP systems, routings and load/capacity tool
