  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and throughput on the production floor via benchmarking and refining end-to-end processes to scale production and leveraging software solutions where appropriate.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the production floor and customers, responsible for addressing technical inquiries and ensuring clarity and adherence to specifications
  • Take on diverse roles within the factory, supporting various tasks and projects as needed to enhance overall operations. Example projects may include:
    • Industrial engineering – defining parameters and driving power builds on the floor to develop time study data for different harness types.
    • Operations engineering – building a factory scheduling dashboard to provide prioritization insights and identify
    • Automation – downselecting, commissioning, and operationalizing a new cutting machine to improve processing times.
    • Design – designing wire harnesses using our internal tool to meet customers' development needs.

What you'll bring to the team:

  • Bachelors degree in an engineering, a STEM-related field, or 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of engineering experience, demonstrating a self-starter mindset
  • At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced production environment
  • At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing or supply chain
  • Proficiency in NX, SolidWorks, or similar CAD modeling tools
  • Strong understanding of basic manufacturing principles, including material workflow, PFMEA, 5S, time studies, and production bottlenecks etc.
  • Ability to identify production blockers and have a solution-oriented mindset to fix them
  • Capable of evaluating new parts and determining the best path for high-rate assembly
  • Curious, quick learner with an ambitious and proactive approach

Bonus Points:

  • 5+ years of overall manufacturing engineering experience
  • Experience with IPC-620 or NASA STD 8739.4
  • Experience with aerospace and defense wire harness best practices
  • Has worked at a contract manufacturing company
  • Has hands-on experience with electrical assemblies, e. building boxes, fabricating harnesses, performing connector mates, routing harnesses, performing electrical tests, etc.

Compensation:

  • Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
  • Salary Range: $90,000-$180,000
  • This is an onsite role at our headquarters in Redondo Beach, CA.
