The Panther Group is seeking Manufacturing Engineers to support electronics manufacturing operations for a leading aerospace and defense organization in Clearwater, FL. This role focuses on process improvement and manufacturing optimization for circuit card assembly (CCA) and electronic module builds, with particular emphasis on through-hole technology.

The Manufacturing Engineer will analyze production processes, implement improvements, develop manufacturing documentation, support new processes

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing engineering experience in electronics, aerospace, defense, or highly regulated environments.
  • Experience analyzing and improving manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, quality, maintenance).
  • Strong documentation skills for manufacturing procedures and work instructions.
  • Experience supporting process development, implementation, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and optimize CCA and electronic module manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Focus on manufacturing processes involving through-hole technology and electronic assembly.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement across multiple CCA programs.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including: Work instructions Standard operating procedures Process documentation Fixture and stencil specifications.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to implement process improvements.
  • Work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to learn and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct experiments, trials, and process validations to evaluate proposed improvements and ensure compatibility with existing equipment and systems.
  • Provide technical support to production personnel and assist with troubleshooting manufacturing issues.
  • Train and mentor production employees on manufacturing processes and process changes.
  • Support equipment maintenance, repair, and manufacturing process development as needed.
  • Help ensure manufacturing processes meet established quality, efficiency, and reliability requirements.

The Panther Group is seeking Manufacturing Engineers to support electronics manufacturing operations for a leading aerospace and defense organization in Clearwater, FL.

This role focuses on process improvement and manufacturing optimization for circuit card assembly (CCA) and electronic module builds, with particular emphasis on through-hole technology. The Manufacturing Engineer will analyze production processes, implement improvements, develop manufacturing documentation, support new processes and equipment, and work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams. We are seeking candidates with varying levels of manufacturing engineering experience. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Manufacturing engineering experience, preferably within electronics, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience analyzing and improving manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering, production, quality, and maintenance teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain clear technical documentation and manufacturing procedures.
  • Experience supporting process development, implementation, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with circuit card assembly (CCA) manufacturing.
  • Experience with through‑hole technology.
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and/or IPC J-STD standards.
  • Experience with soldering and electronic assembly processes.
  • Lean or Six Sigma experience.
  • Experience developing or improving fixtures and stencils.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing equipment and process troubleshooting.
  • Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience.

Pay $40-$70 per hour DOE
