The Panther Group is seeking experienced Electronics Technicians I & II for a leading aerospace and defense organization in Clearwater, FL. These are hands‑on electronics testing and troubleshooting roles supporting the production of electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, and subassemblies.
Shift Opportunities
- 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM
- Overtime: Approximately 10 hours per week required
What You'll Do
- Set up test apparatus and conduct testing of electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, and subassemblies.
- Test electronic assemblies and production units according to established methods, procedures, standards, and sequences.
- Troubleshoot electronic failures to the component level using schematic diagrams and technical documentation.
- Diagnose and repair analog and digital circuitry, including solid-state devices and micro‑circuitry.
- Adjust and calibrate electronic assembly systems and test equipment as needed.
- Correct malfunctions by adjusting, repairing, or replacing components as directed.
- Assemble and lay out units for production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications.
- Use hand tools, small power tools, and electronic measurement and test equipment.
- Analyze test results and identify opportunities for equipment, product, or manufacturing improvements.
- Support engineers with the development and improvement of test procedures for new products.
- Document test results, maintenance activities, and production information using Microsoft Office and other data collection systems.
- Monitor and verify product quality in accordance with established procedures.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and production teams.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of direct electronics experience, including testing electronic assemblies.
- Experience troubleshooting electronic circuit cards and assemblies to the component level.
- Strong understanding of solid‑state and digital circuitry.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
- Experience using electronic test equipment such as: Digital multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Network analyzers, Frequency standards, Signal generators.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic production environment and meet customer schedules.
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus specialized technical training or equivalent experience.
- Ability to read and write English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Flying Probe or In‑Circuit Tester experience.
- High‑power electronic test experience.
- RF troubleshooting experience.
- Experience troubleshooting digital circuitry.
- Familiarity with radar systems.
- Experience with vibration and thermal ESS testing of circuit card assemblies and subassemblies.
- Previous military backshop experience repairing and troubleshooting circuit cards, subassemblies, or Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).
